IN THE SCENES

New York City based (Rochester, NY bred) Marc Raco has appeared in over thirty staged productions, more than twenty five film projects, many commercials and parodies, network television such as “Limitless” (CBS), “Blue Bloods” (CBS), “Law and Order SVU (NBC), “As the World Turns” (CBS),  and “Onion News Network” (IFC),  along with television pilot presentations. He has regularly performed improvisational comedy professionally, and has had his hand at stand up comedy. Originally a Rochester, NY native, Marc has been recognized for acting as Overall World Champion (Men 25+) and multi gold-medalist in the 2005 World Championships of Performing Arts, as Best Actor in the 2006 International Museum of Photography/Film Acting Competition and as one of the top four competitors (out of fifty) on the reality television pilot “So You Want to be An Actor.” He recently hosted the podcasts “Funny People Talking” and “Beyond the Feed”, and previously “Fashion Is Your Business”, “Naked Entrepreneur”, and “Retail Is Your Business”. Marc also starred in the 1940’s-radio-noir-style detective serial “The Adventures of Stitch O’Malley” for the Ralph and Remington menswear brand.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Behind the scenes Marc has been involved with the production of several feature and short films, commercials, parodies, infomercials, radio programs and pilot presentations—in roles as director, producer, writer, executive producer, editor, visual effects editor, and/or musical director. As Producer, Co-Editor and Music Director, Marc led Zinko Films’ feature film “Getting Personal” to recognition as the first local feature film (in which he also acted in a lead role) to be selected for screening in the renowned Image Out Film Festival’s history. “Love Rules” a short for which he wrote the music and co-executive produced, won best short at the 2011 360/365 Film Festival in the musical shorts category. As well, Marc created music and visual effects for the short film “Lila Shue,” which won first place in the 2005 Scion Scene Series Competition. And Marc has edited numerous video productions which have garnered eight total Telly Awards and two Horizon Interactive Awards. Marc is recognized a podcast pioneer and leader, and co-founded and produced 25+ podcasts for MouthMedia Network and Linktree, several of which have been finalists in the People’s Choice Podcasts Awards and also two have been silver and bronze winners in the New Zealand Podcast Awards.

OTHER SCENES
Marc has also written, produced, and recorded over seventy musical pieces involving more than forty musicians and singers, some of which for film and stage production soundtracks, as well as full length CD, and tracks designed and used for Nortel Network’s teleconferencing system. He is an exhibited portrait photographer, with work on permanent display in his alma mater university’s Centennial Exhibit. He has skills in German and Sign languages, and is also a member in good standing of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Marc was also proclaimed by the Governor of Kentucky as a Kentucky Colonel in 2012.
